    This course introduces learning theory as the science of education in the classroom and research-based practice as the art of teaching. Memory, prior knowledge, constructivism, motivation, assessment, and social development are explored as examples of influences on instruction. Candidates learn the theory behind strategies that engage and accommodate all students in a collaborative, positive learning environment.
